Air cooler is a type of heat exchanger. It uses air as the medium for heat exchange. Heat transfers to aluminum alloy fins, dissipates via contact with ambient air and is extracted by fans. Hence it is also known as air heat exchanger or air-cooled oil cooler. Compared with traditional water cooling systems, air cooling requires no water and features simple pipeline installation. It prevents severe damage caused by oil-water mixing in case of cooler failure!

Water-cooled and air-cooled coolers are commonly used in mechanical engineering. Air-cooled heat exchangers are well-received by customers for their easy installation, no water source requirement, mobility and excellent heat dissipation performance. They are widely applied for oil cooling of hydraulic systems, hydraulic system cooling of construction machinery, lubricating oil cooling, transformer oil cooling, water-glycol cooling, air cooling and gear oil tank heat dissipation and other fields.

Air coolers are used to ensure the stable operation of equipment. Their heat dissipation performance depends on two core components: aluminum alloy heat sinks and fans. Dust accumulated on the surface of the cooler shall be cleaned regularly.

When used in flammable and explosive environments, select coolers with motors of corresponding explosion-proof safety ratings or coolers driven by hydraulic motors.

Check the rotation direction during initial start-up. If the direction is incorrect, rewire immediately to adjust the rotation. The unit must rotate strictly in the indicated direction; reverse operation is prohibited.

Do not touch the driving motor during normal operation to avoid electric leakage or static electricity. When the fan blade rotates at high speed, never block or touch it with any object, to prevent blade damage and personal injury.
